26 Feb 2010 - Give us your feedback!
Hello again!

We would really appreciate it if you could take 5-10 minutes of your time to complete this simple survey to let us know how the campaign was for you, and how we can improve for future editions of the Red Box Project.

Take the survey now!

21 Feb 2010 - Winding down
What a whirlwind of a project!

Thank you all for your wonderful support of the Red Box Project. We've been spending the past weeks giving out all the shoeboxes to less fortunate children (we took so long because of the sheer number of shoeboxes we received), but it's more or less done!

We've had some wonderful feedback from our beneficiaries, telling us how much of a blessing these gifts have been to the kids and how happy they were to receive them. And all those who were part of the 6 Feb distribution can testify that both the shoeboxes and the volunteers' interaction with the kids really made a difference to the kids' Lunar New Year.

But what was really the highlight of the Project for us, the team, was receiving the many emails from our volunteers, asking us how they can continue this work that has been started. So we've been putting many volunteers in touch with various charitable organisations, encouraging them to spend time with the less fortunate on a more consistent, regular basis. This, to us, is really what's most important -- instilling hearts of giving and compassion into as many young Singaporeans as we can, showing them that all it takes is a little thought, time and effort to really make a world of difference for the less privileged.

Once again, thank you Singapore for coming alongside us in the Red Box Project. Perhaps we shall do this again in 2011? :P

Hope you had a great Lunar New Year!

2 Feb 2010: So what's happening now?
So what's going on now that collections are mostly over? The Red Box Project team is busy preparing for the big distribution this coming Saturday... preparing all the collected shoeboxes and putting the final touches to make each and every one of them special, as well as organizing the teams of volunteers who will be joining us in the big distribution.

We'll let you know how it goes! Meanwhile, you can find out what the volunteers will be doing on Saturday. [Click on "Shoebox Distribution Date & Venues]

1 Feb 2010: Final collection on Wed 3 Feb
Good news, everyone!

We will be doing one last collection before the shoeboxes are distributed to the children beginning this Saturday. The details of the collection are as follows:

  • Starbucks (outdoor seating) @ Plaza Singapura
  • Wednesday, 3 Feb
  • 7-10pm
  • Bring your shoeboxes down! Look out for a guy in a white T-shirt with red print: "Pack joy in a box" on the front and "The Red Box Project" behind.

    31 Jan 2010: Beneficiaries update
Four more charitable organisations have just come onboard to be part of the Red Box Project! On top of our current beneficiaries (Children's Cancer Foundation, Beyond Social Services and Salvation Army Gracehaven), the collected shoeboxes will also be distributed to children under the care of the following:
    - Pertapis Children's Home
    - City Harvest Community Services Association
    - St. Andrew's Autism Centre
    - Singapore Anglican Community Services Family Care Centre

There's gonna be lots of happy kids!

29 Jan 2010: Collection at Singapore Poly extended!
Due to (hugely) popular demand, the 2 collection booths at Singapore Polytechnic will be open on Monday and Tuesday, 1-2 Feb.

Click here for the locations and opening hours.

28 Jan 2010: Personalize your boxes
Several donors have written letters to the children, even though they don't know who will eventually receive the box. How awesome is that!

Go ahead and do it too:)

26 Jan 2010: More shoeboxes please!
An amazing number of people of all ages have been offering their encouragement, help and support. You know who you are -- thank you!

What we really need now is the support of everyone in the form of more shoeboxes. We really want put a smile on the faces of as many kids as possible, so lend us your support by packing a shoebox and bringing to any of our collection points.

We will be at Jurong East MRT and Tampines MRT tomorrow from 7pm to 10pm to collect your shoeboxes. Look out for a guy in a white Red Box Project T-shirt!

21 Jan 2010: Collection locations updated!
The wonderful people of the Singapore Polytechnic Buddhist Society have come onboard to help us man our collection points as well as join the team of volunteers for the 6 Feb gift distribution! Thanks guys!

Thanks also to all our many volunteers who have worked (and will continue to work -- bwhaha) to make this Project happen. If you would like to sign up (or sign your club/society up) to help us in any aspect, drop us an email or fill in this form!
